Brad’s practice has been diverse, including reversing the Federal Reserve regarding an adverse audit before the Chicago Federal Reserve Board; reversing an IRS gift tax assessment venued in Las Vegas, NV tax court; appearing numerous times before both North Dakota and South Dakota Banking commissions regarding branch banking applications; successfully challenging a deadlocked school board and obtaining a court order authorizing a public vote on consolidation. Brad has extensive experience handling cases from the creditor’s/lender’s perspective for all aspects of Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcies; has extensive collection law practice and experience; extensive transportation law practice, including litigating in Minnesota Federal District Court and working out independent owner/operator lease agreements; and has diverse banking experience, including working for a troubled bank for 2 ½ years as in-house legal counsel. Brad has prepared numerous settlement agreements, complex loan documents, and represented banks in all aspects of litigation, including sale of Bank OREO and preparation of WOCs.

Brad has acted as outside general counsel to all types of clients concerning real estate purchases, claims and requests for rescission. He has drafted numerous business documents, commercial leases, and has been involved in various aspects of litigation regarding non-compete/non-solicitation agreements, breach of contract disputes, controversial collections, construction liens, foreclosure actions, and landlord/tenant disputes.
